Region One Professional Development Workshop Well Attended

The Region One Professional Development Council and Panhandle Adult Literacy Center co-sponsored a two-day workshop in Navarre Beach on July 11 and 12. Attendance for both days was wonderful with representation from many literacy providers including: Corrections; volunteer literacy organizations; adult education teachers and administrators; VISTA Volunteers; Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System; and public libraries.

The workshop agenda included a variety of sessions: TECHNET Focus Group; ABE Resources; Introduction to the Panhandle Adult Literacy Center; Getting Ready for the GED 2002; and Using Volunteers in the Classroom.
