TFN AND IMAP USING OUTLOOK EXPRESS/NETSCAPE/EUDORA/PC PINE
Seems to work fine without any meddling in both Netscape mail and Outlook Express. Just point your IMAP client to imap.tfn.net. Eudora is another story however. In order to get it to work you must go to Tools/Options/Checking Mail and check the "NEVER" option under "Secure Sockets when Receiving."

For Pine freaks like me, you can download PC Pine and it will work just fine (and you get PICO on your Windows box :)) Just a couple of things are important ... 1. Setup a C:\Pine directory to put all the files in. The installation process will ask you a few questions. IMAP server address: imap.tfn.net SMTP server address: mail.tfn.net Your user id and the path to your inbox which is in exactly this sytax including the brackets: {imap.tfn.net}INBOX You can get it from: The University of Washington PC Pine Webpage

Have fun and feel free to share this information with anyone else. Please do let us hear from you about these new developments. If you're of a mind to express gratitude for any of this, Emily Ratliff is responsible for making all of it possible (Thank you Emily) :)
