Who We Are!

Palm Beach County Seminole Boosters, Inc. is one of more than 90 F.S.U. Booster/Alumni clubs throughout the county. The local group of 'Noles, who started approximately 30 years ago, has grown from a handful to over 400 local dues paying members, and is part of a large base of alumni, fans and parents in Palm Beach County. From its humble beginnings, it is now one of the largest in the country and was recognized nationally as the outstanding Seminole club for 1996. The club has a twofold mission: To provide an environment for local F.S.U. functions to benefit our graduates, Boosters, parents, future 'Noles and friends of Florida State University: And, to enhance the local visibility of F.S.U. so as to attract the very best of local students and student athletes.

Membership and Scholarships

The club membership year begins October 1st, with dues of $20.00 single or family. Membership is "open" and includes grads, students, parents, and F.S.U. fans. A monthly newsletter keeps members updated as to local events and projects. Major activities also include the annual awarding of two $1,500 scholarships to county residents who are Community College graduates and enroll at F.S.U.

Football Season Activities

Football season begins with our annual August "Kick-Off" gala featuring speakers like "Voice of the 'Noles" Gene Deckerhoff, Osceola Co-founder, Jerry Kutz or coaches like Jimmy Heggins. Game watch special locations "Game Watch" provide a meeting place to meet and share and enjou the game with other local 'Noles.

Other Events

The club maintains a year round information "Hot Line" and Football Ticket Exchange for buyers and sellers. The club also has football weekend "watch" parties at various locations. We host Bobby Bowden for a Saturday spring "Golf Tournament and Banquet" each year. Also in the spring, we host a special "New Student Reception" for local incoming freshman and their parents. During the month of November, we participate in a "Blood-Feud" with the U of F, which has raised up to 150 pints of blood each year to benefit our community.
